In The Beginning

In 1984 I was just another 14 year old kid with a guitar - I had no amp or no one to jam with - in 1985 a neighborhood friend turned me on to punk rock and I as hooked - I never knew music could be played with the same amount of talent I had - I had always thought of punk music to be noise -I never looked back - I soon discoverd new friends and musicians in town that liked the same stuff as me - I started geting a feel for music - Domestic Violence was my first band.....

Jizz-em All and Let God Wipe There Mouths

My name is J.J.Jizzum - I am the one and only - I am from Battle Creek Michigan but have lived all over the U.S. - I have played in dead end bands all my life - So I am using this blog spot to showcase bands I have played in , been involved with , know personally or that have greatly influenced me and the music I play , and write - feed back and criticism is always welcomed in fact I encourage it - if at all you have something to add to my "blog" feel free - And if any of my friends or people that know me happened to stumble upon this... feel free to to drop me a note

TORG

In 04 I left Michigan for Vegas and after a year or so of drinking myself to death me and my wife decided to leave and head back east - Not wanting to live in Battle Creek we moved to Chicago - This set the wheels in motion for TORG - I had done some shows with them in the past - so when the opportunity presented itself to be in the band I jumped at the chance - so in 2006 I joined TORG - I originally joined as a second guitarist - Soon after joining we did a short tour of the south west even playing the bar in Vegas that I hung out in after work to drink myself blind - Once back in Chicago a vote was taken to cast out the current bass player - I filled those shoes - With the addition a another guitarist a year or so later TORG was a full on duel guitarist/duel singer 6 piece TON O' BAND - Really I mean it - When we walked into the show you knew we were TORG - unfortunately my Jizz-mo problems forced me to move out of Chicago and try to plant new feet else where - This band has had allot of bass players over the years so many in fact they can't remember all there names - So in my absence until a new bass player comes into play one of the guitar wizards will be playing bass - I had a good run with those boy's - and I still keep in contact with all of them they miss me - And Who knows maby I will play some shows with them again either in the band or with another on the same bill - They are trully the BEAST TO DUMB TO DIE

GROG 2000 - 06

In 2000 The metal band I was in had a side project named Ballz Deep - that in turn became GROG once again - after 1995 - I had left the band leaving no chance for doing it again in 1999 I returned and Ballz Deep was out and the original line up of GROG was back - Throwing away our punk/metal sound and just being a punk band was what we did - Just as things started moving again and I was ready to book some shows the drummer backed out - Me and the bass player were still thirsty so we were on the hunt - In the year GROG was formed we had a second guitarist - and his brother was a drummer/guitarist that our bass player had been in a band with before so after some convincing we finally had a new guy - And we were off tearing up the "seen" that I have loathed for years - We were loved buy those who understood our drunken humour and hated by those that didn't get the joke - Some bands even refused to play with us in fear we would out do them - Other bands new promoters that they convinced we were trouble makers and told them not to ever book us - other promoters would book us then back down at the last minute - We had even got kicked off the stage just seconds away from starting our set after people realized it was us - I had even considered changing the name just to get local shows but then thought "fuck that those people are pussies" -The only place that excepted GROG was DETROIT - One year for Halloween we even did a Boom and the Legion of Doom style meat show complete with deer heads and guts - during our set a fight broke out and spewed into the street (I'm not braggin - I'm just saying - we would come to the show and throw down) After most of our sets people would just leave thinking the show was over ....... I didn't think we were that good (yet) - We were on a good run - then once again our drummer backed out - We found another new drummer with all the talent but was a drug addict that couldn't be over looked - I had enough of Michigan once again in 04 this time moving to Vegas - a return home on 05 for a couple of weeks spawned a new recording with our second drummer coming through - and then another reunion of sorts for one show in 06 with the drummer from TORG ....and the saga continues................it is now summer of 08 - and I once again am heading back to Michigan and rumours of yet another round of GROG is pouring into those veins in west Michigan .....and like always there not ready

BALLZ DEEP

In the year 2000 I was in a Metal Band - Ballz Deep was a side project that the original line up from Grog had put together with a close friend on guitar to make us a for piece - Basicly it was Grog with an extra guy -I think we jamed for a while but never realy took off - two members living in one town and two members living in another - we could just never quit get off the ground - we packed it in early in the year - never playin a show but I do consider this a band I guess because it was Grog with a diferent name.......so in the end It still is just that - GROG the band that will haunt me for ever..............

DEBOUCHERY

In 1999 I once again returned back to Michigan and found myself hangin' with old friends - The Bass player from Grog had joined up with the drummer from Domestic Violence who was now playing guitar and singing-("frontman") - and were full on METAL(make the devil sign) - Anyway they were a 4 piece 2 guitarist bass and drums - somehow I was in the mix as a new guitarist , replacement or what ever - the two guys I was in Bands with before wanted me in - I had nick named this band "Slippery Dictator and the Boys" - after the singer/guitarist nick name Slippery - I had fun in this band even though it was METAL(make the devil sign again) -But there was always constant conflict - I never had played in a band were there was beef at every practice or show - It's not a job it's a hobby - we played a few good shows and even made a decent sounding cd that never was released - I had my final straw when I was told to "take my punk rock shit and leave" - or wait even better "See thats exactly why you should'nt be in this band" soon after falling out in the studio with the drummer the original guitarist was back in the mix and it became a wall of noise -3 guitars I wasn't down for all that - me and the bass player quit to focus on other projects - and Debouchery straggeled on for a little while -

GROG 93-95

This band I don't think will ever go away - In 1993 - I was asked by a bass player friend of mine to come over and do some jamin' - of course I will that's what I do - then without missing a stroke my ol' drummer buddy joins the pack - After we had tried a new guitar player and he didn't stick around we stuck to being a 3 piece - originally named Kaotic Intent a name another friend of mine came up with years before that - I thought it was a stupid name for a band especially since it was my idea - Named GROG by the bass player after the slang word for beer it was set it stone - after all .....we loved beer - chugin' down beer and practicing our fast punk/metal songs writin' about beer , love, food , and drugs use, we played a few shows here and there in the Battle Creek /Kalamazoo area - even got a few write ups from local papers in both towns - we took off kinda slow but just when things started to take off I had to go - I had enough of Michigan and moved again this time to Florida -.........but the GROG saga still contiues -

The DANGEROUS ALLIANCE

In 1992 I had joined Celler Noize - after a fall out with the 3 original members the 4 remaining wrote all new tunes - with new songs and and one of its originals out of the picture there was a new name - me and the drummer witch I had already been in a band with were huge wrestling fans and half drunk on our way to practice we came up with the name The Dangerous Alliance - taken from what was popular at the time in the world of wrestling - we played a few gigs nothing really big - just some stuff locally around Battle Creek - the band had pretty much had enough of my punk rock shenanigans and tired of me drinking a case of 40z before the every show - we were good at practice - but live we were like Spinal Tap - broken strings faulty lighting - missed ques - fog machine - the works - the band broke up one day after practice our other guitar player simply said I'm done , packed up his gear and that was that - him and the bass player were joining another on going band named Back Bone - so they went their way and me and the drummer witch I previously was in a band with went ours ... no harm no foul - had a good time

CELLER NOIZE

Celler Noize was beating up local bars for about a year or two before I was in the picture -They were a different set of dudes I never had jammed with before or had done any shows with but were still some how in the same circle of friends - In 1992 I left Texas again and headed back home to Michigan and there I was hanging out - I was asked to join Celler Noize early upon my return - they new J.J.Jizzum was down for jamin' - So I joined this band and had just been in a band with the drummer , but not very long after I realized they were having inside problems with its original members - this band started out as a 3 piece and recruited a drummer from Broken Trust/Broken up witch I was a part of their drummer moved to just vocals that made them a 4 piece then they added me witch now made them a 5 piece (confusing I know) anyway the 3 original members has a falling out shortly after I had joined only doing a few shows together then the singer was booted or quit I don't remember - so now we were a 4 piece and writing new tunes and sharing the vocals with the 3 front man - we just kept plugging away writing a whole new set list of punk/metal that was full of funny real life shity vocals and screaming guitar solos and in your face blah blah blah..............

Broken Up

Well this one is short and sweet - After Broken Trust ended the 3 remaining members kept jamin' together for a little while - Named "Broken Up" buy founding Boom and the Legion of Doom member Stony Fish - we played some shows using tunes we had played in Broken Trust just none of the ones the original Broken Trust member had wrote - lacking it's energy without him there we just sort of fizzed and even became a little bored with it - on the last night we jammed "one last time" our drummer had already decided to join a new band and had set up practice with them as me and the bass player were loading out - they were loading in - me and the bass player headed off to Texas on a gas and dash.......

Broken Trust

In 1989 I had spent some time living in Texas - I moved back to Michigan in 1990 - I ran into some old friends that were in a Broken Trust a band that was around since about 1985 or 86 - I was a sure fit in this band just like Boom and the Legion of Doom before it - We were all friends and got along well - We had a great time together sharing song writing and revamping older tunes as well - This band had a good following locally and slayed the crowds with loud and fast punk rock -YEH - The people that came to see us were into it and that just made us better I guess - Broken Trust had some line up changes throughout the years that probably had every friend as a member - A couple of bass players - 3 or 4 guitar players and 2 or 3 drummers - It was a rotating door of musicians - But I think the line up that I was involved with was one of the best - The Lead singer in this band was the only original member - It was his band - and when he quit to move out of town and later join the Premature Babys it set in moition wheels for my next band Broken Up -

Boom and the Legion of Doom

In early spring of 1987 I was approached buy Smelly Mustafa one of the founding members of B.L.O.D. to join the band - Founding member Stony Fish had quit or was kicked out , I don't know .....- I had seen them a ton of times playing shows with them as a roadie or just hanging out and always enjoyed watching them ruining other peoples good time -the meat shows were always the funniest- stepping into this band seemed to me a natural fit at the time - I was a fan and a friend - not long after I joined the band another founding member singer Toxic Matt-itude just for whatever reason stoped coming around - I remember leaving for a short tour and he didn't show up so we left without him , setting up a stage for Boom to sing in Kent Ohio while we did a show with his band N.J.Oi - We headed back home after we finished off the small tour with Fang and the band parted ways for a short time - I went to Cali. with Smelly in the early fall of 1988 stayed at the a Madona Inn met some members of my some of my favorite bands had a great time but being only 18 years old I was home sick. I headed back to Michigan. The band then reformed in Cali. with a new lineup with members of Verbal Abuse Fang and Hell's Kitchen and continued to piss people off - I have been asked to join the band again this year (2008) for a reunion show - that will happen @ Thee Parkside - BOOM FEST - in San Fransisco Sep. 27 - I will do my Best to be there

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

In 1985 me and 2 friends started making noise in a garage in a
west side neighborhood of Battle Creek Michigan
We soon acquired another friend and our singer tagged a wall
at a local basket ball court with the words
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
"murder in the household"
Then we were a full on band - We had very little talent but
we had energy and we used it well
Armed with cassette tapes for influence of all our favorite bands like local heroes The Latin Dogs - Eddie and the Wolfgang as well as allot of Cali. Bay area bands that we loved (and I still do)
We honed in on our ability to suck and rock at the same time
We played allot of shows mostly house party's for a couple of years with all or friends bands like
Broken Trust - Thought Industry - Un-Concerned ext..
as well as some touring bands
Alcoholics fueled buy LSD
we also did some shows in the local college town Kalamazoo
and some with other Battle Creek bands like Boom and the Legion of Doom in Muskegeon Mich. @ the now Legendary Ice Pick
Oh yeh we did do a talent show at our high school where we were unplugged twice then kicked out for being vulgar and staring a riot -
we broke up in 1987 because we were lazy and didn't have the gear or
money or sobriety to keep going ........
